The Homematic IP flush-mounted dimmer actuator is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and can be used to switch lights on and off as well as to dim them. The dimmer actuator is compact, so it can be easily installed in standard flush-mounted or surface-mounted boxes. Existing lighting systems can be modernized in just a few steps by using existing cables and can be controlled wirelessly in the future using a remote control, a wall switch or the free smartphone app. Since the actuator is a trailing edge phase dimmer, it is suitable for classic incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, dimmable energy-saving lamps and most dimmable LED lamps. The fully electronic trailing edge phase dimmer has been optimized especially for energy-saving lamps with a switching capacity of between 3 and 80 VA. The modern electronics make operation possible without any noise. If the dimmer has been integrated into a Homematic IP system, the light output can be conveniently dimmed in 0.5% increments.
