TMDs are used to measure and control the temperature and efficiency of electrical machines, transformers, motors, etc. The temperature is measured by four PT100 sensors. Each measuring channel has two programmed alarm limits that trigger two output relays and report that a critical temperature has been reached. Measured values and alarm conditions are shown on the two-line, 3-digit display on the front of the device, which also has five programming buttons for configuration. The controller can store maximum values and trigger events internally.
