Devices in the 'solid rubber distributor' product class are characterized by a high protection class and are therefore particularly suitable for use in harsh environments, e.g. outdoors. Due to the housing material, they are largely resistant to impacts and influences from liquids. The Doepke Protection Box DPB guarantees the safe operation of devices with frequency converter-controlled drives if the design of the upstream residual current device is unknown. The built-in residual current circuit breaker can be used to protect systems in which the upstream protective measure is unknown or insufficient (e.g. residual current protection type A) in an all-current sensitive manner. The DPB therefore offers a safe solution for monitoring residual currents that are not equal to the mains frequency or smooth DC residual currents, such as those that can result from the operation of frequency-controlled machines, without having to replace the protective measures in the existing system areas. The mobile version of the DPB is particularly suitable for protecting electrical consumers with changing locations, e.g. on construction sites.
