The Homematic IP circuit board enables the integration of ordinary electrical devices into the Homematic IP smart home system. To retrofit, the tiny circuit board only needs to be placed in a suitable place in the device housing and connected to the existing button or signal input, for example. A miniature relay allows switching capacities of up to 30 V/1 A. If the relay is not required, it can simply be broken off the circuit board, making the circuit board even smaller and using the open collector switching output with 30 V/0.5 A instead. Once installed, conventional household appliances, lighting installations, your own µC applications or even garage door drives can be conveniently switched in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point using the Homematic IP app, remote control or wall switch.
