The braking resistors are designed for use with the MICROMASTER 440 converter series, housing sizes A to F with integrated braking chopper, and enable rapid braking of loads with a high moment of inertia. While the motor and load are braking, excess energy is fed back to the converter. This causes a voltage increase in the DC link.
