D-Link DGS-1210-10 8x10/100/1000Mbit/s Smart Managed Gigabit Switch

The Web Smart Managed Gigabit Switch DGS-1210 supports numerous features that are normally only found in high-end switches. It guarantees maximum control, service and security, but without the complexity of an enterprise switch. The low administration effort makes it ideal for use in small and medium-sized companies. In addition, its fanless design means it operates silently, making it suitable for open office environments.

Extensive security functions in the network
The DGS-1210 is equipped with advanced security settings. The D-Link SafeGuard Engine switches on if large amounts of data overload the switch CPU due to a virus attack on individual network components. The Access Control List specifies which users are allowed to use which services and files, and authenticates these users using the IEEE 802.1X standard. DHCP server screening, for example, provides additional security - the switch recognizes the IP address of the client based on the DHCP request and the corresponding response from the server and automatically assigns this to the MAC address associated with the port.

High functionality thanks to bandwidth control and QoS
The switch impresses with sophisticated QoS functions for the automatic prioritization of digital data packets. For optimal voice quality in VoIP applications, voice VLAN support ensures that voice traffic is automatically shifted to a VLAN with the highest priority. Bandwidth control also enables the network administrator to limit bandwidths for subordinate devices. In addition, the DGS-1210 is equipped with numerous Layer 2 functions, including IGMP snooping, port mirroring and the LACP trunking protocol. Rapid Spanning Tree and Loopback Detection immediately recognize redundant loops and automatically block the duplicate connection. The cable diagnostics allow network administrators to quickly determine and resolve the status and any malfunctions of the copper cables.

Network management made easy
The Smart Switch offers small companies in particular simple, cost-effective management functions for the network: The SmartConsole Utility automatically detects additional D-Link Smart Switches within the same Layer 2 segment. Basic configurations such as password changes and firmware upgrades are simplified and summarized using an easy-to-understand start setup. In addition to the web interface, the DGS-1210 supports management via TELNET Basic CLI, SNMP and D-View 6.0, which are used for integrated monitoring and management of all critical network components.

Flexible with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
Power over Ethernet means that end devices do not need to be plugged into sockets. With Cat. 5 network cabling, PoE-capable end devices are supplied with power and data at the same time.

The Green Switch
The DGS-1210 is equipped with the latest D-Link Green technology, which significantly reduces power consumption and thus operating costs without sacrificing performance. This also enables small and medium-sized companies to set up an energy-efficient network infrastructure.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
D-Link provides a limited lifetime warranty on Smart Managed Switches as standard. In addition, optional service packages protect the network from longer outages in the event of a device defect.
