The pointer contact thermometer with a stainless steel housing (material 1.4301, protection class IP 54) has a housing diameter of 80 mm. The measuring system used works according to the liquid expansion principle. The temperature is indicated by a pointer on a white scale with black lettering. The device has an accuracy class of 1.5 similar to DIN EN 13190. The temperature can be read through an acrylic glass pane (PMMA) in °C or °F. The built-in microswitch can be set to the desired switch-off temperature using a setpoint adjuster in the front pane. The device is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of +/-0.7 K in relation to the set switch-off point as the temperature increases. The maximum permissible switching capacity of the built-in changeover contact is 5 amps / 230 volts AC. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals and is protected by a cover cap. The switching difference (hysteresis) is approx. 1.5% of the display range. The microswitch automatically switches back to its original state when the temperature falls below the switch-off temperature by this value. The contact adjustment is protected against improper adjustment by a cover. The thermometer is also equipped with a drag pointer so that the maximum process temperature reached is recorded. The device has an immersion tube with a diameter of 8 mm made of CuNi and a brass screw connection. It is attached using a G 1 Form A thread in accordance with DIN 3852/2; the nominal position is optional. The thermometer is used in particular in the transformer industry, but can also be used universally for local temperature measurement of any kind. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The device is RoHS compliant and cadmium-free.
