The robust housing made of die-cast aluminum and the stable steel immersion tube ensure that it can be used even under harsh conditions. The rod expansion principle used means that the exhaust gas temperature monitor can be used up to a maximum sensor temperature of 700 °C. The maximum permissible ambient temperature on the housing (protection class IP54) is between -50 °C and +80 °C. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made directly with screw terminals on the built-in microswitch, which can directly switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of AC 230 volts / 10 amps. The thermostat has a switching difference (hysteresis) of 10 to 22 K and automatically switches back to the original state when the temperature falls below the switch-off temperature by this value. The device is characterized by a fast reaction time of 45 seconds in flue gas and is approved according to DIN EN 14597. The screw connection with G 1/2 inch thread means that the device can be installed directly in the flue gas duct. The exhaust gas temperature monitor is used for all types of flue gas monitoring, in heating technology and in solid fuel boilers in bivalent operation with oil boilers. The exhaust gas temperature monitor is also used to lock ventilation systems that cause negative pressure in combination with tiled stoves and fireplaces.
