- The alarm module can receive signals from all Ei Electronics smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms that are equipped with radio modules. - If an alarm signal is received, the strobe light begins to flash to provide an optical alarm. At the same time, the vibration cushion vibrates strongly and the red LED display flashes. - In this way, hearing-impaired or deaf people can be safely and reliably warned of dangerous fire smoke. - By pressing the integrated test button, the strobe light and the vibration cushion are activated and checked for functionality. The unit also sends out a radio signal that activates all other radio-networked components within the system. - To connect additional alarm components, such as strobe lights, vibrating cushions or pagers, the Ei170RF alarm module has two additional outputs that are also automatically activated as soon as an alarm signal is received. - In addition, the Ei170RF has a signal input for clocks/alarm systems. The vibrating cushion is triggered by the alarm. In contrast to a real or test alarm, the cushion vibrates continuously. The strobe light is not activated.
