Decentralized living space ventilation unit with heat recovery for controlled ventilation of individual rooms. The ventilation unit is particularly suitable for retrofitting and renovation. It is installed directly in an external wall without air ducts. The unit is equipped with very efficient and extremely quiet EC fans. Used and moisture-laden room air is discharged to the outside. Fresh supply air is supplied to the room. A cross-counterflow heat exchanger (can be removed from the room side for cleaning) recovers the heat contained in the exhaust air to heat the outside air. The anti-icing function with an automatic defrost prevents the heat exchanger from freezing at low outside temperatures. Condensate is drained via the external wall panel and is equipped with a temperature-controlled trace heating system. The control element with a segment display for operating mode, filter signal and error message as well as supply air and exhaust air filters is integrated in the plastic internal wall panel included with the unit (alpine white, can be painted over with wall paint on site). Optionally, a radio remote control and/or an air quality sensor can be retrofitted for demand-based control. A wall sleeve (round or square version) and the external wall panel are required for installation.
