If the sensor is used together with other Homematic IP devices, a wide variety of usage scenarios can be implemented. For example, the room light can be automatically switched on when entering and switched off again when leaving. The sensor can also be used to trigger an alarm. The device is mounted horizontally to the floor and can be placed not only in the door frame, but on a wide variety of surfaces and places in the building. If the device is mounted at a height of more than 80 centimeters, the detection of pets is avoided. An integrated tamper contact provides additional security.
