With the Homematic IP interface for gas meters, you can always keep an eye on gas consumption in your home. The gas meter data is always displayed in the Homematic IP app. Long-term monitoring of consumption is also possible via measurement data acquisition. Installation takes place in just a few steps directly on the gas meter. The device is compatible with gas meters from the manufacturers Elster (Kromschröder, Honeywell), Itron (Pipersberg, Actaris) and Metrix, which are prepared for a pulse sensor. This can be identified by the module slot and the indication of the pulse constant (e.g. 0.01 m³/imp.) on the type plate. The sensor is attached to the gas meter using an appropriate adapter (included in delivery). The data is recorded using counting pulses that are generated by a magnet in the roller counter of a conventional gas meter. The sensor is then connected to the interface and integrated into the smart home via the app.
