The window/door contact is a battery-operated radio sensor with magnetic field technology for monitoring the status of windows and doors. It detects whether windows or doors are tilted/open or closed and can trigger different scenes depending on this. When a window or door is opened or closed, the sensor sends a radio signal to the HomePilot®. This signal can be used as automation in the HomePilot® and thus trigger a scene. If, for example, the patio door is opened, the HomePilot® deactivates the timer on the patio door's roller shutter using the patio door OPEN scene. Thanks to its two operating modes, the sensor can be used both as a window contact and as a door contact. The extra slim design of the window/door contact is unique in the smart home sector. This means that the sensor can be installed discreetly in the window frame and is not visible from the inside or outside. The window/door contact is easy to install using the adhesive strips included in the delivery and can be easily removed during renovations or moving. The transmission frequency is 434.5 MHz and the transmission power is max. 10 mW. It is operated with a CR2032 battery and has a supply voltage of 3 V. The window/door contact can be operated at 0 - 50 °C. The dimensions of the sensor part are 78 x 26 mm. The window/door contact provides additional security. For example, you can check while you are on the move whether all windows are really closed. Or you can be notified by email if a window or door has been opened even though nobody is at home.
