The braking resistors are designed for use with the MICROMASTER 440 converter series, housing sizes A to F with integrated braking chopper and enable rapid braking of loads with a high moment of inertia. During braking of the motor and load, excess energy is fed back to the converter. This causes a voltage increase in the DC intermediate circuit. The converter diverts the excess energy to the externally mounted braking resistor. The braking resistor can be used for the voltage range 200 V to 480 V. SINAMICS - simply my drive.
