As an infrared heater, the under-bench heating element is used in a fixed location for heating in listed buildings and under benches in churches. The under-bench infrared heater from the VL-RH series is suitable for installation under the bench but also for installation on the wooden ceiling. The effective yet small-format under-bench heating element heats the floor using radiation. Only when it comes into contact with the warm surface does the room air heat up evenly and with almost no flow. This creates the conditions for thermal comfort without unnecessary energy consumption, especially in high rooms. The under-bench infrared heater from the VL-RH series is produced as a wooden frame in which a heating glass pane is inserted. It consists of a single-pane safety glass pane (ESG glass pane made of white glass, low in iron oxide, satin-finished, 5 mm thick, standard surface color white similar to RAL 9010), which is heated on the back by a heating layer that converts electrical energy into heat. This layer is glass fiber reinforced and embedded in a plastic mass. The back of the heating element is effectively thermally insulated, with a cover made of wood-based panel and is completed by a wooden frame, which also encloses the sides. The wooden frame is opaquely painted and finished, standard surface color umbra gray similar to RAL 7022. Surface temperature max. 120 °C at an ambient temperature of 20 °C. Object-related dimensions, frame color and nominal output on request. A power plug is embedded in the wooden frame for the mains connection. The connection socket is supplied loose. For operation as a stationary single-room heater, an additional room thermostat with weekly programming and detection of open windows and/or adaptive control of the start of heating and/or remote control option (outside the building) is required.
