The Beha-Amprobe UAT-500-TE transmitter included with the UAT-505-EUR kit has the ability to induce a signal into buried pipes, cables or wires. The receiver then detects the signal transmitted by the buried utility line. The transmitter operates at a frequency signal of 33 kilohertz (kHz), which provides the most reliable results for many locating applications.
